Welcome to the Garden!
Many mushrooms have moved this this mighty, marshy metropolis! Fungi from far afield have found their way here, and you’re the latest fungus among us. Can you carefully craft a colorful kingdom of your own? Or will you dwindle, defeated in dehydrated dreariness? I dare say, with some marvelous mushroom maneuvering and careful colony combinations, you’ll do just fine. ~ King Stropharia XIV
Spore-adic! is a token placement game for 2-6 players where each player attempts to score the most points by taking over as much of the Garden (game board) as possible.
Each turn you'll draw a card, and can play up to two cards, targeting a player once per turn (including yourself). Then it's time to grow! You get 4 Growth Points to spend each round, allowing you to grow (place on the board) mushroom and colony tokens. If you have more than 3 cards at the end of your turn, you discard down to 3.
Players can create rings of empty spaces on the board called "Fairy Rings." The spaces within an empty ring at the end of the game are worth additional points. Players score 1 point per mushroom, 2 points per Fairy Ring space, and 3 points per colony.
The game ends if:
- Any player runs out of mushroom tokens
- Any player cannot play a token in two consecutive turns
- All players cannot place a token in consecutive turns
The player with the most points at the end of the game wins!
